'GOLDWING' and the artist's name 'Billie Eilish' are all laid out as wings which parallels with the name of the song.
I used an effect called 'the cut' on pics art to created a woven feeling whilst generating the idea of a glitch, symbolizing a glitch in society---society as a problematic place with problematic morals.
Around the filming of this section which is December, close to Christmas, I had the epiphany of using a golden ribbon to tie me and decorate me as a Christmas ball and that my eyes would be covered to show I am blind. This highly resonates with the lyric 'you better keep your head down' whether interpreted as dark or supportive, by covering one's eyes, the person could be less easily startled by distractions, but one could also stumble and feel detached.
Back Cover
The hot pink symbolizes power and passion and prevents the audience from seeing the 'evil' portrayed in the music video to be deadly and demonic ( If I used a dark red, audiences would potentially see Arina's character as well as my character's transition as dangerous and fear it, which is not my intended impact)
The original image looks like this and it is important to note that the flower is yellow because it references the free Britney Spears movement; when fans first began to notice Britney Spears potentially being stuck at home and manipulated by her father, they commented under her social media post that if her freedom is stripped and needs help wear something yellow in her next post. Her following post feature her wearing a yellow t-shirt holding a bouquet of yellow flowers, confirming her entrapment) and Britney Spears is also one of Billie Eilish's inspirations and icons in her musical journey.
This imagery matches the 'souvenir' concept in the lyrics: 'they're gonna treat you like a souvenir, just to sell you in a year'
